Product details

Designed for Clear Communication
The RS35 is a flexible communication system for powerboats of any size, from RIBs and runabouts to larger cruisers and sportfishing vessels. This Class D DSC approved radio can make and receive DSC distress signals including your current position, and supports direct calling to other DSC-equipped radios. Dual-channel watch lets you monitor the current channel and emergency channel 16 (in the USA, tri-channel watch monitors the current channel, emergency channel 16, and calling channel 9). The RS35 includes a large and clear built-in speaker, plus a second speaker on its ergonomic fist-microphone. Outputs are also provided for an optional external speaker and separate loudhailer/foghorn.

Integrated AIS Receiver
A dual-channel AIS receiver lets you monitor the position of nearby AIS-equipped vessels, perfect for avoiding collisions in crowded harbours and busy waterways. AIS information can be viewed on the RS35’s built-in screen, and shared with any compatible Simrad display for a big-screen view. The RS35 uses the same antenna for both VHF and AIS, simplifying installation and minimising wiring.

An Expandable System
There’s no need to be tethered to your radio base with the optional HS35 wireless handset. Add up to two handsets for the ability to make and receive radio calls from anywhere on board, with a range of up to 100 metres from the base station. Wireless handsets and the base station can also be used as a vessel-wide intercom system, keeping crewmembers connected anywhere aboard larger vessels. NMEA 2000® and NMEA 0183® connectivity link your RS35 radio with Simrad multifunction displays, GPS receivers, and other accessories to unlock powerful features such as DSC radio calling to AIS targets shown on your chartplotter.

Minimum product requirements
