Simrad HS65 GNSS Compass

SKU: 000-16235-001

The HS65™ delivers high-precision GNSS heading with <2° RMS accuracy, providing stable navigation data immune to the magnetic interference* that affects traditional compasses. Its dual-layer backup system uses integrated Dead Reckoning to maintain reliable heading for up to three minutes during temporary GNSS signal loss before automatically switching to magnetic backup. With seamless NMEA 2000® integration and a sleek low-profile design, the HS65 delivers dependable performance for autopilot, radar overlay, and modern navigation systems.

*Magnetic backup function may be influenced by magnetic interference.

Product details

HS65 is built for high-performance powerboats where accuracy isn't optional. Delivering the stable, rock-solid heading data required by advanced navigation systems, and giving you the confidence to navigate smarter in any conditions.

Accurate GNSS heading and positioning data

Powered by multi-constellation GNSS—including GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS—the HS65 delivers highly accurate heading and position data wherever your boating takes you. With heading accuracy under 2° RMS and position accuracy within one meter, it keeps your navigation system dialed in and your course clear. The result is precise, dependable guidance that lets you focus on enjoying the journey.

Stable heading for autopilot, radar overlay, and navigation

Accurate heading is the foundation of a smooth navigation experience. The HS65 delivers stable heading data that keeps radar overlays perfectly aligned, charts oriented correctly, and autopilot steering tracking smoothly.

Built-In Heading Redundancy

The HS65™ features a dual-layer backup system designed to maintain reliable heading data. If GNSS signal is temporarily lost, built-in Dead Reckoning seamlessly maintains reliable heading for up to three minutes before automatically switching to magnetic backup for continued heading data and added confidence when conditions change.

All-in-one sensor simplifies installation

The HS65 combines a GNSS receiver and heading sensor into a single compact unit, reducing system complexity and eliminating the need for multiple devices. Fewer components mean a cleaner setup and easier installation. A smarter, more streamlined way to add precise heading to your navigation system.

Modern low-profile design

Designed to complement today’s boats, the HS65 features a sleek, low-profile design that integrates cleanly with modern vessel styling. Flexible mounting options and improved cable routing make installation easier while maintaining a tidy, professional look.

Flexible Mounting Options

The HS65 is designed to fit a wide variety of boats with multiple mounting options, including pole mount, direct surface mount, and through-roof installation. This flexibility allows installers and boat owners to position the sensor for optimal performance without complicated modifications. Whether installing on a center console, cruiser, or sportfishing boat, the HS65 adapts easily to your vessel’s layout. Pole mount sold separately.
